Mark and Tony
Mark Labberton & Tony Amoury Alkhoury

Mark Labberton was named the fifth president of Fuller Seminary in 2013, after four years as Fuller’s Lloyd John Ogilvie Associate Professor of Preaching and director of the Ogilvie Institute of Preaching. Ordained in the Presbyterian Church (USA), he served in pastoral roles for 30 years prior to coming to Fuller, most recently as senior pastor of First Presbyterian Church of Berkeley, California, for 16 years. He also has served as cofounder and chair of the Christian International Scholarship Foundation, chair of John Stott Ministries, senior fellow of International Justice Mission, and in a number of other roles of service. He holds an MDiv from Fuller and a PhD in Theology from Cambridge University.

Tony is a content creator and a current PhD student in theology at Fuller. Tony was born and raised in Syria. He holds a Master’s in Clinical Pharmacy from Damascus University. He practiced pharmacy for 10 years in Syria alongside his passion job as a church youth leader. Tony came into the US in 2016 to start his theological studies and earned an MDiv degree from Harvard University in 2019 where he was chose to deliver the commencement speech. During his time at Harvard, he worked as a Teaching Fellow and won the award of excellence in teaching at Harvard twice. Tony’s major is practical theology, and he works under Scott Cormode’s supervision.
